What is Neuromuscular Dentistry? How Does it improve health and promote normal physiology?

The relief of pain seen with neuromuscular dentistry can be amazing.  But what Neuromuscular Dentistry actually is is often hard to learn.

This link gives my published description of Neuromuscular Dentistry that was originally published by the American Equilibration Society, and republished with permission in the ICCMO anthology and in Sleep and Health Journal.

Neuromuscular Dentistry is founded in hard science and objective measurements but still requires finesse to achieve ideal results.

Neuromuscular Dentistry is about physiologic occlusion.  Gneuromuscular Dntistry is neuromuscular dentistry but occlusal schemes surrounding the neuromuscular position follow gnathological ideas.  The important factor remains identical.

To better understand what Neuromuscular Dentistry is (Dr Shapira's Definition based on the work of Barney Jankelson, Bob Jankelson, Barry Cooper, Norman Thomas, Jim Garry and other giants in the field of neuromuscular dentistry)read the Sleep and Health article.
